Customer Service / Public Educator (Seasonal)  We are now hiring part-time, seasonal public educators in the Visitor Services Department. The rate of pay is $10.50 per hour. Attendants provide excellent customer service 365 days a year and serve as public educators teaching visitors about the plants and animals at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. This position includes work in both indoor and outdoor settings (in all weather conditions) and requires standing and/or walking during most of the 4-9 hour shifts. Click HERE for application. Maintenance (Seasonal) This position performs routine manual labor in and around Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. Applicant must be at least 16 years old by date of hire. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license, or equivalent out-of-state license. The driver’s license must have no suspensions or revocations for driving-related offenses within a one year period prior to the date of appointment. Horticulture Internship – The City of Saint Parks and Recreation Department is seeking applications for a summer internship with the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory team. This is a summer season outdoor gardening position, 40 hours per week for maximum of 12 weeks, May – August 2016.  A successful applicant will assist with maintaining outdoor needs of public gardens at Marjorie McNeely Conservatory in Como Park.
