 ·Sunken Garden
The Sunken Garden is a beautiful indoor garden that can accommodate up to 90 people standing, including the wedding party. This garden features five unique seasonal flower shows a year. Ceremonies are typically held at the far (south) end of the garden, with the bride and groom on the third step and the officiant and wedding party on the top step. If there is a procession planned, guests usually stand along the left side while the procession walks down the right side to the ceremony area. During the summer months, the sunset may shine directly into the guests' eyes if standing on the left side, so we suggest switching sides. The paths are wide enough for two people to walk side by side.
Musicians generally set up near the railing at the north end of the Sunken Garden. Equipment and handicap access to the lower level is provided by two elevators on either side of the room. Note: The southern most exit is a fire exit and silent alarms may sound if the doors are open for an extended period of time. The temperature of this room can become warm during summer months due to its southern exposure. During the fall and winter months it is maintained at 65 degrees for the flowers, so the room may seem slightly cool when entering from the tropical Palm Dome. Candle Light Weddings: For an additional fee, enjoy the ambiance of romantic candlelight. Twelve beautiful wrought iron candelabras with beeswax candles are placed along the edge of the pool for maximum reflection. 2008 Rates* for Ceremonies in the Sunken Garden *All rentals require a refundable damage deposit not included in the fee quoted above. Damage deposits are generally returned to you two to three weeks following your rental. Please report any changes of address and/or phone numbers to the Wedding & Rental department promptly.
