  • 48 piece or larger colored pencil set; Prismacolor first choice; will look at other brands during first class; definitely need to have white, cloud blue, black grape, and grayed lavender. These may be purchased as open stock if not in your set
  • Prismacolor colorless blender pencil (optional Prismacolor Art Stix clear blender)
  • Prismacolor clear blender marker
  • Blending stumps
  • Soft cloths/rags, Q-tips
  • Kneaded eraser, white vinyl eraser, transparent tape, reusable putty adhesive
  • Open-stock (Derwent) watercolor pencils: 1 each of a warm red, yellow, and blue and 1 each of cool red, yellow, and blue
  • Pencil sharpener with metal blade casing (shavings holder may be plastic); two good ones are Alvin Dux (glass shavings holder) and Staedtler Dual-hole #512 001 A6
  • Watercolor brush, synthetic blend, 8 or 10 round; Winsor Newton Sceptre Gold 2 is a good brand
  • Xacto knife, #11 or #16 blades
  • 2 sheets Strathmore 1 ply museum board; tear or cut down to 8x10 sheets for class use
  • Watercolor paper, cold press, 140 or 300 lb., 1 sheet
  • Binder with archival sheets or portfolio to hold completed assignments
  • 2 – 3 colors of Canson Mi-Tienes, small sheet size; wait to purchase after class demo
  • Double-frosted Mylar drafting film, 1 sheet
