Programs for 3s are designed for children age 3 with an adult partner. These programs encourage family learning and foster environmental awareness. When applicable, live plant or animal encounters will be included in class.

What makes a mammal a mammal? Get an introduction to the world of furry and fuzzy animals while meeting a furry animal, making a fuzzy art project, playing some hairy games, tasting a mammal snack, and other fluffy fun!

Spring Fling for 3s
Spring is sprung! Bird songs fill the air, the days are getting longer, you can smell the flowers blooming and feel the mud squish between your toes. Join us for a spring fling as we explore spring mystery bags, eat a “mud” snack, create “worm” paintings, and pot spring plants.

Animal Babies for 3s
A baby zebra is a foal, a baby giraffe is a calf, and a baby penguin is a chick. Visit Como Zoo’s newest arrivals and learn how animal moms and dads care for their babies through songs, stories, and fun activities.

Gardening For 3s
How does your garden grow? Get your hands dirty as we become “budding” gardeners. We'll plant seeds and sprouts and learn to care for them, eat some garden snacks, meet some garden helpers, play gardener dress-up, and decorate pots. It will be "plant-tastic!"

Fancy Feet For 3s- NEW!
Whether you’ve got 2 feet, 4 feet, more feet or happy feet, there’s a lot to learn about footsies! We’ll see climbing feet, sticky feet, swimming feet and even feet with thumbs as we “hoof it” around the zoo in search of neat feet. Our fantastic foot adventure will end with a fancy feet treat.

Feathery Friends For 3s
What do birds eat? How do feathers feel? Why did the chicken cross the road? Gather your flock to learn the parts of a bird, meet a live bird, decorate your very own "bird-noculars" and have other feathery fun. You'd be cuckoo to miss this class!

Home is where the heart is and everybody needs a home! A home could be a nest, a burrow, a shell, or a hole in a tree. Learn where the animals live by crawling through a tunnel, digging a burrow, eating a beaver lodge snack, taking a discovery hike and more!

Going Buggy For 3s
What games do ants play with elephants? Squash! Fly, hop, crawl, swim or buzz on over to learn what makes a bug a bug! We’ll discover if spiders are insects and if all ladybugs are girls too. Play a game of “Buggy Bingo,” build a bug, meet some
BIG bugs, eat some “bug food,” and other creepy, crawly fun. It will be bug-tastic!
