Programs for 3s are designed for children age 3 with an adult partner. These programs encourage family learning and foster environmental awareness. When applicable, live plant or animal encounters will be included in class.

ANIMAL BABIES FOR 3s
A baby zebra is a foal, a baby giraffe is a calf, and a baby penguin is a chick.  Visit Como Zoo's newest arrivals and learn how animal moms and dads care for their babies through songs, stories, and fun activities.

GARDENING FOR 3s
How does your garden grow?  Get your hands dirty as we become “budding” gardeners.  We'll plant seeds and sprouts and learn to care for them, eat some garden snacks, meet some garden helpers, play gardener dress-up, and decorate pots.  It will be "plant-tastic!"

ANIMAL HOMES FOR 3s
Home Sweet Home – Home is where the heart is! Everybody needs a home; it could be a nest, a burrow, a shell, or a hole in a tree.  Learn about where the animals live through stories, songs, crafts, a discovery hike, and more!

ROCKIN' REPTILES FOR 3s
Reptiles are scaly, but they’re not slimy…in fact, snakes are ssssuper, turtles are terrific, and lizards are lovely.  Explore the scaly side of life as we meet live reptiles visitors, play turtle tag, sing a snake song, touch real reptile artifacts, and other rockin’ fun!
