Dr. Entomo's Palace of Exotic Wonders

Exhibit Gallery
2/11/2016
12:00 am

Insects and arthropods are many things: helpful pollinators, recyclers, predators that keep other bugs in check, and some are the inspiration for movie aliens and seemed designed to freak us out. This is where Dr. Entomo's Palace of Exotic Wonders comes in. The strange, the unusual, the downright disturbing facts and untruths are set before you with one question: is it real? Is that TRUE?! Only YOU can decide! MORE

Music Under Glass Featuring The Urban Hillbilly Quartet

Marjorie McNeely Conservatory
2/11/2016
4:30 pm

The affable Erik Brandt was surprisingly specific when asked to describe what his group’s name, The Urban Hillbilly Quartet, means. “‘Urban’ describes the rock; ‘hillbilly’ is the Americana, folk and country; and ‘quartet’ is jazz, improvisation and our instrumental music, with tinges of eastern European melodies.

Live music from some of the Twin Cities finest musicians perform in the Sunken Garden Sunday's December 27 - February 28 from 4:30-6:30. The music is also piped in to the Palm Dome and North Garden for your listening and strolling enjoyment. Beer and wine available to purchase.

Music Under Glass Featuring Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank

Marjorie McNeely Conservatory
2/11/2016
4:30 pm

Combining what Minneapolis Star Tribune calls "timeless songwriting chops" with "tremendously played roots music" (Atlantic City Weekly), Hobo Nephews have tirelessly played, sang and stomped their own brand of Americana in big cities and small towns all over the country. The road tested duo has recorded 5 full length records. Their newest release, "American Shuffle" was produced by Trampled By Turtles violinist Ryan Young.

Live music from some of the Twin Cities finest musicians perform in the Sunken Garden Sunday's December 27 - February 28 from 4:30-6:30. The music is also piped in to the Palm Dome and North Garden for your listening and strolling enjoyment. Beer and wine available to purchase (please note there is no concert on January 31 and February 14).
