Tacos for Tigers
Your meal tickets during Como Day at Chipotle Mexican Grill last year helped to ring up more than $13,000 in donations for Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, the most successful fundraiser Chipotle has ever seen in the state. Let’s order up an even bigger “Tacos for Tigers” turn-out this year!
On September 23, Chipotle will give Como 50 percent of all sales made in Minnesota, as well as Hudson and Eau Claire, Wisconsin up to $35,000. All you have to do is tell Chipotle you’d like your order to support Como, the state’s most visited cultural institution. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for reminders on the 23rd, and to see how your family’s meal ticket can make a difference for the animals and plants at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. 'Our Shared Planet' Exhibit
‘Our Shared Planet’ is a traveling environmental awareness exhibit featuring the wood-carved birds and animals of award winning wildlife artist Jim Ramsdell. The exhibit contains a number of highly detailed life-size wood sculptures, set against lighted interpretive backdrops, beautiful photographs and quotes along with nature sounds and music, all designed to raise the consciousness and awareness of its visitors. Sections of the exhibit feature endangered species and the fragile ecosystems which they inhabit, stressing the importance of their preservation.
'Our Shared Planet' is funded, in part, by the Minnesota State Arts Board through the arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the Legacy Amendment vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
