Como Park Zoo and Conservatory will cut its visiting hours short by three hours–but it’s for a very good cause. On July 16 at 3 p.m., Como will close to allow our team of volunteers to prepare for Travelers Sunset Affair, the biggest fundraiser of the year to benefit Como Park Zoo and Conservatory.
“We’re very proud of the fact that Como is able to welcome visitors every day of the year, and that’s one of the important traditions we’re able to sustain at Como thanks to private support,” says Caroline Mehlhop, Como Friends’ Director of Events & Sponsorships. This year, Como Friends will welcome more than 500 guests to Travelers Sunset Affair: Perennials and Centennials, a summer gala which features a silent auction as well as a fund-a-need campaign for direct contributions toward Como’s greatest needs. To learn more about this sold-out event, and what contributions from people like you make possible at Como please visit our Travelers Sunset Affair page.
Como’s normal hours will resume July 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thank you!
