Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

Nature Walk

The Nature Walk Program is a summer volunteer opportunity especially for youth with a strong interest in the natural world and a passion to share their knowledge with others. The program is open to students going into 7th grade through incoming 12th graders.

The Nature Walk program inspires youth to value living things and understand the importance of conserving the natural world. It also gives them the opportunity to become important ambassadors, connecting thousands of summer visitors with Como’s animals and plants and sparking a new appreciation of the living things throughout our campus.

This program provides younger volunteers an opportunity to learn a great deal about a variety of plants, animals and conservation topics. In addition, they’ll collaborate with their peers and build their public speaking skills all summer long.

The Application deadline for consideration for Summer 2018 has passed.  Please check back in January for 2019 application materials.  Thank you!
